Trial places are open for sheep and cattle producers in the Western District: Hamilton, Warrnambool, Colac, Ararat and the surrounding sheep and cattle country.
What the trial involves here
We bring a SATURN trough to your property and install it beside your existing water supply, which takes about 30 minutes. You use it for 90 days alongside your current troughs and record a few things once a week: how often the trough was cleaned by hand, any faults, a photo, and any change in how stock are drinking. How the trial is judged is agreed in writing before it starts. If it does not suit, we collect it at no cost to you.
What you need
A reticulated water supply at 200 to 1,000 kPa (2 to 10 bar, manufacturer figure) and a place for the flushed water to drain. If your supply is a dam, bore or river, tell Joe the pressure at the trough if you know it.
